20) Malpás South East and 21) Malpás South West

The local nomenclature of 20) Malpás South East and 21) Malpás South West, both located in the Aragonese valley of Remuñé, should not be confused with 29) Maupás East and 30) Maupás West (30) which are located on the French northern slope.

Both are located under the Maupás or Malpás Peak (3,107 m), Puntas Rabadá and Navarro, and Tusse de Remuñé (3,041 m). The last vestige of the South East Malpás glacier, whose extension during the Little Ice Age is estimated at 7.5 ha, is a small over-excavated ibón and the moraine flanking it. Unfavourably oriented to the south, it became totally extinct in 1995.

The south-east-facing South West, with a Little Ice Age extent of 12 ha, became totally extinct in 2006.
