42) Oriental del Forau de la Neu,43) Occidental del Forau de la Neu and 44) Llardaneta

The three glaciers were located in the area occupied by the former Forau de la Neu Glacier, on the southern slope of the Posets Massif, in the cirque dominated by the Picos de Pavots (3,124 m), Espadas (3,228 m), Posets (3,375 m) and Diente de Llardana (3,094 m).
During the Little Ice Age, the Eastern (42) and Western (43) glaciers of Forau de la Neu formed a single unit, covering an area of 19 ha. The split into two independent glaciers probably occurred at the end of the 19th century. Near the summit of Posets, the Lardaneta Helero (44) occupied 1.5 hectares of glacial ice.
The Eastern Forau de la Neu (42) was classified as residual in 1999. Its fragmented remains still resisted for seven years in the shadow of the Diente de Llardana until its total extinction in 2006. Currently, some snowfields occasionally form in the space occupied by the glacier.
The 43) Occidental del Forau went from being classified as a helero to a residual glacier in 2006. It became extinct in 2017. On the other hand, a moraine accumulation shows the former location of the 44) Llardaneta glacier, which became extinct in 2006, very close to the summit of Posets.
