The Tromouse Circus is home to the La Munia Glacier. Given the steep and rugged terrain it occupied during the Little Ice Age, it is difficult to determine the size of this extinct glacier, although it probably covered 15 hectares with various sections that must have formed a small group of hanging glaciers, reaching a length of around 570 metres.
Currently located at an altitude of between 2,700 and 2,800 metres, some cracks can still be seen, indicating slight activity, with unconnected remains of ancient snow, next to a snowfield on one of the upper steps.
Covering an area of 2.6 hectares, it is considered the second largest helero in the La Munia massif, the 13th largest glacier in the Pyrenees and the 6th largest on the French side.
