E) Eriste Massif

no hay datos para mostrar

The Eriste or Bangueñola Massif, to the south and close to the Posets Massif, has summits close to 3,000 metres in altitude. Four of them are higher than 3,000 metres: La Forqueta (3,011 m), Eriste Norte or Beraldi (3,025 m), Gran Eriste (3,053 m) and Eriste Sur (3,045 m).

During the Little Ice Age, at the location of the extinct North Eriste glacial Glacier, the ice must have extended over an area of 15 ha.

Between 1982-1985, it was the massif with the least presence of glacial ice, making it the first of the 12 Pyrenean massifs to lose glacial ice.
